Memberships to shop at Walmart-owned Sam\u2019s Club are about to become a little more expensive.<\/p>\n

Starting Friday, May 1, Sam\u2019s Club is set to increase prices for both its Club and Plus memberships by $10. Sam\u2019s Club initially confirmed the price increase in an emailed statement to USA TODAY in March.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have adjusted our membership pricing to support the things our members love,\u201d Sam\u2019s Club said.<\/p>\n

The membership price increase comes as Sam\u2019s Club plans to open six new stores in six new cities in Tennessee, California, and Texas later this year. Here\u2019s what customers need to know.<\/p>\n

How Much Will a Sam\u2019s Club Membership Cost Now?<\/h2>\n

According to Sam\u2019s Club, the price increases will affect both its Club membership and its Club Plus membership.<\/p>\n

The price for a Club membership will go from $50 to $60 a year, while the Plus membership rate will go from $110 to $120 a year. Additionally, Plus members will also be able to earn up to $750 a year in Sam\u2019s Cash rewards.<\/p>\n

Previously, the yearly cashback cap for Plus rewards members was $500.<\/p>\n

Price Increases Come Amid Store Expansion<\/h2>\n

The six openings in 2026 come after a slow 2025, when the warehouse retailer opened only one store in Tempe, Arizona. Here are the cities where Sam\u2019s Club is set to open later this year:<\/p>\n
